Test Version 0.00.3
Made some major headway on getting parts of the gameplay set up. There are now two spells, fire and ice. I added effects to them to make them feel cool. I'll probably remove the wand when I learn how to model arms so I can add a cast delay for an animation. I like the idea of holding a prepared spell with particle effects. I feels like it'll look and feel cool.
Decided to make the test level less ugly by making some textures for wall paper and windows. Used the wood texture I made for the wand to make window seal and a door.
There are now enemies that take 2 spells to delete from existence. They look tough, but I haven't made it far enough to get them to have agency in their lives (how sad for them :,c ).
I'm going to continue to follow tutorials until I get a basis for the game, then I'm going to overhaul the underlying mechanics to better align with what I want this game to eventually become (basically Morrowind with dungeons half way between it & Daggerfall; I really like the insanely big dungeons from Daggerfall). Will probably start a spreadsheet to figure out how I want stats to effect gameplay soon.
